National Go Canoeing Week 2017
was a great success, with paddlers
collectively clocking up 54,633 miles
throughout the week, surpassing all
our expectations.

How We Smashed Our Mileage Target!
This year we added a new element to the Go
Canoeing Week website and you loved it! We
gave you the chance to share your paddling
fun while uploading your miles and you blew
us away with all your fantastic pictures.
Three pictures really stood out but we had one clear
winner; Phil Lyon with his ‘Dads and Lads Trip’.
Phil won a Go-Pro camera and
you can see his photo above.
Hundreds of photos were uploaded and we then
had the fun task of sifting through them to pick our
favourites. We chose twenty-two photos to go through
to the final and then asked all staff members at British
Canoeing to vote for their favourite.
