An Israeli biomedical company has launched in London as part of its ambitious plans to reach £ 100m in global sales within five years .
It says it will ‘ revolutionise the UK ’ s preventative healthcare experience ’ while , at the same time , growing the local CBD market .
Cannabotech was founded in 2019 following a £ 10m investment round in Israel and has identified the UK as a key market to achieve its business goals .
It opened its flagship store in Westfield , White City , London , on November 5 saying that their presence in the capital would help ‘ elevate the CBD market ’.
The new store features extensive use of digital healthcare technology including advanced Artificial Intelligence systems .
The company says special in-store facial scanners use the AI tech to analyse a customer ’ s physiological and mental health in just 40 seconds .
It has also partnered with biotechnology research company Endocanna Health to offer DNA testing and analysis .
Cannabotech says the DNA test will map an individual ’ s immune and endocannabinoid systems , their metabolism , their sensitivities to minerals and vitamins and their tolerance for different drugs .
Cannabotech Chairman and CEO Elchanan Shaked said the company provided solutions ‘ based on science , technology and personalisation ’.
He said : “ The UK was a natural choice for us given that it ’ s the largest and fastest growing CBD market in Europe with a wellestablished e-commerce market .
“ We are confident that we ’ re bringing something unique to the UK - our advanced products , technologies and services offer people personalised preventative health solutions .”
Dr Gemma Newman , who has a specialist interest in holistic health , plant-based nutrition and lifestyle medicine , described the launch as ‘ exciting ’ for customers .
