Indiva Q&A

We try to be data driven in our decisions to the extent that we can. When we look at mature markets in the US, we note that less than 50% of the market is dry flower, with the majority of the market going to derivate and concentrate products. Knowing this, we aggressively pursued licensing agreements with award winning brands like Bhang Chocolate, and very innovative brands like Ruby Cannabis Sugar and Sapphire Cannabis Salt. We think these product will be very popular with Canadians, and perhaps even have some disruptive effect to the traditional “dry-flower” market.

On this same subject, one of the criticisms of edibles has been that it is difficult to mask the taste of the cannabis and that is why cannabis (or hemp) is traditionally found in cookies, brownies, gummies, and other edibles and beverages with many flavour masking additives. What can you advise our Readers about the Bhang line of products that we can expect to see carried by INDIVA in time … vegan ... gluten free …? What can you tell us about Bhang? Readers, click here for Bhang’s website.

Bhang is a company with many award winning products including chocolate, vape pens, oral sprays, gum etc. The founder of the company is a master chocolatier, so they are very knowledgeable about quality and flavour. In other words, Bhang were chocolate experts before they became cannabis experts. We have a Joint Venture in Canada with Bhang, which holds the exclusive license to manufacture and distribute Bhang’s award-winning products in Canada. We also think there is potential to export to other foreign markets from the Canadian JV. Ultimately our view here is that brands typically go North, and we are very excited to offer Candians fantastic and award-winning product from day 1.

Yes, Bhang’s products win awards every year for good reason. What can you tell us about the significance of the DeepCell Industries relationship (click here for website)? How will INDIVA incorporate this technology …?
