CCIM: Here is a question I often hear and see – how did you decide on the flavours for the Tinley 27 line? Why cinnamon whiskey and not rye or scotch? Why not gin …..?

TNY: Our objective is to explore a variety of beverage alcohol products. Our products each come from different families of liquors, and they fulfill a range of need states. So the line represents an opportunity for us to learn about and serve consumers in many segments. Our products are the most popular falvoured liquors in each of their sub-categories. For example, lime margarita is the most popular cocktail in America, and cinnamon whisky has surpassed Jägermeister as the most popular shot drink on campus. Falvoured liquors are our focus for now because we believe they taste the best once the alcohol is removed. It’s rare for beverage alcohol brands to target such a wide range of consumers, but as the first mover in this category, it’s more about selling the concept of a cannabis-infused, liquor-style beverage than about winning specific consumers in an established industry.
