CCIM: Tinley was my first case study from over two years ago, when the stock was $0.05, and before Tinley had even launched Hemplify or its other products. Since that time, Tinley has placed products in some impressive grocery and dispensary chains, added some big executive names to its team and, most importantly, begun a buildout of a large-scale beverage R&D, co-packing and distribution center in California. Can you bring our readers up to speed on these developments?

TNY: Before launching our cannabis-infused beverages, we launched a hemp CBD beverage called Hemplify. It’s now on shelves in premier chains including Bristol Farms, Lazy Acres, Erewhon, 7-Eleven and Sprouts. Simultaneously, we worked with a California liquor formulator on converting the recipes that they use for national brand liquors into alcohol-free cannabis beverages. The vision was to ease consumers’ switch from alcohol to cannabis by providing products that have identical tastes, dosages and shelf presence (and that hopefully someday will be available in all the same stores and bars). Under the belief that cannabis companies are primarily consumer products companies, not agricultural or pharmaceutical companies, we staffed our team with execs from major beverage companies including Cott and Black Velvet Whisky. Most recently we added execs from Sierra Nevada Brewing and Asahi Beer. We’ve also brought in a senior entertainment industry executive, which will help create new avenues for consumer marketing. So far, the reviews of our products confirm that they deliver on their promise of tasting the same as their beverage alcohol counterparts, and they have similar doses.

We’re also working to provide investors with exposure to a variety of third-party cannabis beverages by building a large co-packing facility. Co-packing is a key component of how several of our team members turned Cott into the third-largest beverage company in the world after Coke and Pepsi. We have one of Cott’s past presidents and one of their past CEOs on our team, and they’re helping us deploy the same growth model for cannabis beverages.
