CIM: So tell our readers about that.
GLFI: My team and I embarked on a worldwide search for the optimum location to produce a large volume of high-quality cannabinoid products at the lowest possible price. Since we believe recreational, THC, use will quickly follow medical usage in many markets, our goal was a location where we could, over time, produce both. We found that location in Jujuy, Argentina. What did we find? Prime agricultural land with year-round outdoor growing conditions. An experienced and low-cost labor force. And, perhaps most important, a friendly governmental environment.
The Argentine government’s primary concern is creating jobs and economic development in the region. By entering into a joint venture with the government we have been able to essentially eliminate burdensome regulations and oppressive taxation. As part of the government contribution to the joint venture we have been granted a long-term lease on up to several thousand acers of prime land with abundant water and power. A tax-free zone for production of cannabinoid oils, distillates, and isolates for export has been established next to the property. And, we have been granted the right to grow whatever strains of marijuana that we believe are in our best economic interest. The government is also providing the security for the cultivation and production area.
