Greetings and a warm welcome to our 25th issue of the CANNAINVESTOR Magazine! We couldn't be more excited to bring our magazine to cannabis investors, analysts, financial media and cannabis executives.

I recently attended the CanEx Jamaica Conference in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I was very impressed with Jamaica's willingness to move forward with cannabis legislation and the business of cannabis. It seems Jamaica is no longer following the United States lead anymore and is now taking direction from Canada. While in Jamaica, The Jamaican Information Service announced Jamaica’s first legal export of medical marijuana extracted oil to Canada. The import permit from Health Canada was obtained on behalf of Jamaican-based Licensed Producer Timeless Herbal Care who was then granted an export permit by the Ministry of Health in Jamaica. "We're positioning Jamaica as a global leader for the export of cannabis for medical and scientific purposes," stated Lincoln Allen, CEO of the Cannabis Licensing Authority (CLA).

Will the United States be, "too late to the ball game?" I have no doubt that cannabis will become legal at the federal level, but when I don't know. Is big pharma, alcohol, and tobacco the only ones that will be able to play, via mergers and acquisitions of international companies. Is the "mom and pop" cannabis company extinct before it can exist.
