My hypothesis has this notion as its foundation or underpinning – that we will see cannabis in time viewed as a crop. We will see a divergence as some embrace natural pollination to encourage genetic diversity and drift. Much like wild mustard, we will see a whole plant view. When thinking of hemp, we do see more of a whole plant view due to the myriad uses of the hemp plant ranging from fuels to plastics to textiles to building materials to nutrition and (of course) .. health and wellness. Cannabis cultivated solely for medical purposes may remain cultivated per the status quo – time will tell.
