2018 is upon us and the need for increased due

diligence is even more important – why is that?

Some of the top USA stock promoters have followed the money north and necessarily spend less time covering the USA industry. Top stock promoters often represent the positive side of “marketing” and “sales” and bring an awareness about companies that otherwise would not have occurred.

If it is accepted that some of the top stock promoters are now internationally focussed then the math leaves more of the those we typically associate with the negative side of “sales” left …. But not to worry, one suspects these top USA promoters will migrate back south if the ROI continues…

Although the industry and market itself is not at all like the dot-com era because it is the legitimization of an existing multi billion-dollar black market, there are aspects of this that indeed echo that era – valuations that defy conventional measurements, hustlers and hucksters, companies with nothing more than business plans and LOIs and MOUs, etc. There is also an increase in those who are suddenly experts competing for your attention. Some may be legit of course but many are opportunistic at best. One such social media character posted wonderful advice in the dying days of 2017 – effectively the comment was to be successful one needs to buy low and sell high. My November 2016 article on this remains just as relevant today and I encourage you to read it if you have not done so already.
