EDITOR'S NOTE

D. A. Wallace, Editor In Chief

Greetings and a warm welcome to our 29th issue of the CANNAINVESTOR Magazine! We couldn't be more excited to bring our magazine to cannabis investors, analysts, financial media and cannabis executives.

Congress approved the 2018 farm bill and President Donald Trump signed it into law last year. The farm bill is a package of legislation passed roughly once every five years, which has a tremendous impact on farming livelihoods, how food is grown, and what kinds of foods are grown. Covering programs ranging from crop insurance for farmers to healthy food access for low-income families, from beginning farmer training to support for sustainable farming practices, the farm bill sets the stage for our food and farm systems.

The 2018 farm bill also included legalization of hemp, opening a market that Brightfield Group estimates will reach $22 billion by 2022. Due to "Big Pharma" lobbying against cannabis and their negative ad campaigns, along with many groups (private prisons, courts, judges, lawyers, corporations, government organizations, politicians) benefiting from illegal marijuana, the legalization of cannabis may be inevitable, however, we may not see federal legalization for 3 - 5 years if we're lucky. I think the long-term play is cannabis, so slowly build your portfolio over time. However, "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush." In other words, hemp is the short-term play over cannabis. Hemp is here now! It would be naive of you, not to include hemp and CBD companies in your portfolio. A list of hemp companies from www. hempmarketwatch.com can be found on Page 254 - CannaInvestor Enigma Puzzle. As usual, you're going to have to work to decode the puzzle.

Thank you for letting us keep you informed and assist you in your research of this new and emerging market. We appreciate your support and are so happy to have you as a reader of the CANNAINVESTOR Magazine!
