CIM: What would be a major catalyst for HLIX?
HLIX: We simply require that the Legal Cannabis Industry continues to mature, even if it is in an erratic way, in the years to come. We are focused on the decisive points and infrastructure as it grows into the mainstream, and don’t require that the market develop in any specific way, which is a very real strategic advantage.
CIM: What are your major hurdles and obstacles?
HLIX: We are often frustrated by the uneven growth of the market in the U.S., and by the hysteria and misinformation that gets injected into the national dialogue periodically, which complicates running the business at times. From a structural point of view, the lack of a fully developed banking system is a challenge, and makes growth more expensive by denying access to financing options that exist for other industries.
