The formulas are often combined with phospholipids already organized in lamellar bilayers by their solubilization in an appropriate medium.
This pro-liposome structure requires the special addition of a aqueous phase to spontaneously form, at room temperature, an alcohol free suspension of multilamellar liposomes (mainly bilamellar) of a mean size of 250 nm.
This type of liposomes is small enough to present high cutaneous absorption and release the entrapped ingredients while membranes merge with skin one by one. Able to entrap hydrosoluble and/or liposoluble active ingredients, the science allows the selection of the type and concentration of the ingredients to entrap, offering the possibility to customize liposomes. (i.e., phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylserine, lecithin, propanediol, etc. with THC and CBD and additional formula ingredients simultaneously in the liposoluble phase).
Absorption is increased by an average 14.9%.
