Can you give us a transparent view of Icon and City View Green’s relationship?
Icon Exploration Inc. is a mining issuer listed on the TSXV led by Rob Fia as CEO. During 2016, the Board of Icon decided to review other business opportunities as the mining market was in bear market territory for several years dating back to 2011. Rob Fia and his team began to investigate the cannabis industry for potential reverse takeover transactions (“RTO”). City View Green led by David Roff, although at an early stage, was identified as the top candidate for a transaction. City View’s business model was unique and flexible enough to change as quickly as the cannabis market adding cultivation to start, extractions and retail to become a truly vertically integrated operation. Rob and David have worked closely together to build a successful partnership sourcing top executive talent, cultivation and extraction experts. They will continue to work on business opportunities around the world for the combined entity. Once the RTO transaction between Icon and City View Green is complete the company expects to announce a top alcohol and beverage CEO with a proven record of running high growth businesses. The ups and downs in the cannabis market may continue but successful companies will be driven by excellent management and strong corporate governance. City View Green is well positioned to be a top player in the cannabis industry.
