“If you differentiate yourself from the market, you will attract the attention of investors,” he says.

The company’s vertical integration is critical in a market where the cannabis flower will become a commodity in the future, and Fia expects CVG to distinguish itself by creating various products that appeal to the cannabis consumer. He believes the company is well-positioned to create its own brands or in-license third party brands, bolstered by a strong team, industry contacts, and the ability to adapt as the market changes.

“This is not a market that’s stagnant. It’s in flux,” Fia concludes. “I think that we’ve got a very good, smart team that has grown small companies into very large companies, and I think we’re going to be positioned nicely in the future to be one of the top cannabis companies listed on the TSX.”
