CIM: What would be a major catalyst for Atopa’s growth?

Nicole: Partnering with a company, such as DoTerra, that already has an established customer base with knowledge on the therapeutic benefits of botanical and essential oils. Another example is partnering with a company like 23andme or ancestry.com. These companies are diagnosing individual’s risks based on DNA, environmental factors, and nutrient deficiencies. Oblend is the first delivery mechanism that can provide personalized nutrients to cater to each individual’s unique needs. We are moving into exciting new territories which include precision medicine and eventually, preventative healthcare.

CIM: How do you plan on scaling your business? Do you have a sales force?

Nicole: Though much of our sales strategy focuses on eCommerce and consumer-direct sales, we do plan to have an outside sales team. This team will be responsible for opening our dispensary and clinician channel as we begin a state-by-state rollout.

The Oblend and all non-cannabis sourced ingredients will be sold directly to consumers through our mobile app, our website and Amazon. Our platform monitors ingredient levels and will notify users when cartridges should be replaced. Altopa is designing incentive discounts to subscribers to our Autoship Program. With this feature, the Oblend app will send a notification of a queued order, requesting consumer authorization. With a click of a button, the replenishment shipment will be initiated.

Cartridges containing cannabis-sourced ingredients will be sold at in-state licensed facilities. We will place Oblends at these locations as well as train and incentivize the staff for sales of the Oblend. The Oblend app will notify our customers where they can go to purchase THC cartridges in their areas, generating additional foot traffic for dispensaries carrying Oblend products.

CIM: What previous experience does management have to assist Altopa in executing on its business plan?

Nicole: Altopa has attracted a world-class management team, each member bringing a history of success and deeply relevant expertise with both early and growth stage companies in the Consumer Products, Healthcare, Technology, and Medical Device Industries. We know how to build companies with disruptive products and lead them to a successful exit. We’ve done this before and are excited to do it again.
