CIM: Could you tell us how the Oblend machine works?

Nicole: The Oblend is the first home dispensary. It’s about the size of a coffee maker, controlled by a mobile app, and is as easy to use as an inkjet printer. The Oblend holds up to two dozen cartridges filled with isolated cannabinoids, terpenes, essential oils and other proprietary formulations.

Using the mobile app, consumers can find recipes to replicate or create personalized recipes. The Oblend will blend the ingredients with precision and create a variety of products by dispensing the resulting blend into a vape cartridge, a skin cream, a massage oil, or a tincture bottle. As the ingredients are consumed, the user can re-order replacement cartridges through the Oblend app.

CIM: How does a person know what to make with the Oblend?

Nicole: The Oblend native mobile app (iOS and Android) is the user’s primary interface to the Oblend Platform. Oblend users can search for the right blend for their needs from a catalog of recipes authored by experts, partners & other members of the Oblend community. New users can search for remedies by symptoms like “muscle pain” or “anxiety” without needing to know anything about “strains”. At the same time, experts who know exactly what they want can design blends from scratch. Users will benefit from community ratings and reviews and from finding recipes being used by other users with similar needs. Additionally, the Oblend experience has been designed to gradually educate its users about the medicinal benefits of ingredients and formulations.

CIM: Can you control the levels of cannabinoids individually say THC or CBD?

Nicole: Absolutely, using the Oblend App, users can select a recipe based on how you want to feel or what symptoms you are treating. Users can then adjust the individual ingredients so that they end up with a blend that is just right for their body.
