Thus, the Jeff Sessions/Trump anti-cannabis jihad, and their Federal regressive laws? Just a speed-bump, because 70% of Americans favor some kind of legalization. The crazy-quilt state legalization? It will clear up because governments are starving for new revenue, and they always follow the money. Besides, this tidal wave of popular demand is unstoppable, and state legislators mainly want to get reelected.

But 2018 is important for another reason: the cannabis industry is reaching towards critical mass. Canada will soon be coast-to coast recreationally legal, as is California and a few other states, and hundreds of thousands of people are pouring into the field around the world to build businesses and make a living. (But when will those thousands of pot prisoners, living behind bars in the USA, be freed from their incarceration?)

Meanwhile a wave of cannabis-related businesses is being started in North America, new brands are being established, early mergers and acquisitions are taking place, while incredible tech and biotech breakthroughs are being introduced. (i.e. Incredible 18’ cultivation walls, and NASA-developed stimulants that can actually increase the yield and growing time of cannabis plants by 30% - 40%.)

For me, personally, every week contributes to my continuing education regarding this life-changing, medically-enhancing, business/revenue-generating revolution. And you know what else? We can’t begin to know where all this will end. It’s definitely uncharted territory, and will be creating a new kind of society.

And when the next recession hits — and it will — the cannabis industry will keep on growing, just like liquor in the 1930s.
