CIM: Can Oblend be used outside of the cannabis industry?

Nicole: Oblend and its underlying technology is a platform that can expand within the healthcare industry and to other verticals. Within the healthcare industry, the Oblend can be expanded to include hundreds of cartridges filled with ingredients for research purposes.

The Oblend can also expand to other industries, such as fragrance, cosmetics, and culinary. People could start making their personalized fragrance, hair color, foundation, face cream, and shampoo. As far as the culinary industry, imagine infusing your cooking oil with healthy botanical oils or with liquidized spices to create taste sensations.

CIM: Is your platform proprietary or patented?

Nicole: The Oblend Platform is both proprietary and patented. Altopa understands that we are solving problems that have not yet been solved. Protecting the resulting intellectual property is critical for our success and future value. We have been painstakingly comprehensive in patenting all aspects of its device, technology platform, mobile application, methods, and ancillary areas related to its know-how. The Company has been issued 1 patent, has 1 published patent application, and has filed an additional 24 patent applications including applications in major international markets.

CIM: Would CannaKorp be considered your competitor? If so, what differentiates the Oblend?

Nicole: People get us confused with companies such as CannaKorp because we are targeting the same market, medicinal cannabis users, and we both have recurring revenue streams. However, our product, the Oblend, is completely different than CannaKorp’s product, the Wisp Vaporizing System. Wisp contains pods filled with cannabis flower while the Oblend creates products from isolated cannabis extracts. CannaKorp’s goal is to provide a consistent user experience from vaporizing cannabis flower. Our goal is to provide a personalized, precise and consistent experience, whether the user is creating a vape, topical, or ingestible.

CIM: How does marijuana legislation impact your business?

Nicole: The only impact the marijuana legalization will have on Altopa is our ability to sell the THC cartridge direct to consumer. Right now, we sell the Oblend and all of the cartridges, other than the THC cartridge, direct to consumer. Users can purchase the THC cartridge at their local dispensary. Continued
