Why do you think the cannabis-testing sector holds opportunities for investors?
As I mentioned before, testing labs are the gatekeepers of the cannabis industry. As production and consumption increase, testing must also expand to keep up. I think you’re seeing a strong migration of cannabis investors to cannabis technology. All large modern industries are now based on technology and technology platforms and the cannabis industry is no different. Testing will be a big part of this. And data. We collect a ton of data that has never really been collected before. We believe this data will play a fundamental role in the future of the cannabis industry and will reveal things that we haven’t even thought of yet. This to me is very exciting.
The cannabis-testing sector is not sexy or glorified like the cultivation and dispensary sector, why do you think that is? Isn’t there a direct correlation between testing, cultivating, and dispensaries? If your excited about investing in cultivating and dispensaries, shouldn’t you be even more excited about investing in testing?
I think that dispensaries and growing is just more eye-catching, more visual. But every one of those grows and product producers are potential customers for Digipath. I find that extremely sexy. Especially because nothing gets to the consumer before it’s tested. Testing labs are literally the gatekeepers of the industry.
