Those that outright dismiss and criticize the CFA designation need to rethink their position just as those who mistake it for something more than it is need to revisit their own position.

My point is the source of your information for this industry must accept that you are their client and not simply state to be the most unbiased professional industry presence … blah blah blah. They exist to serve you. When you read what you thought were articles only to learn at the end of the write up that the company is a paying client and that client relationship is ongoing you need to ask yourself where their loyalty truly rests - with the company that pays them and is putting for on their table for promotion or with you their supposed client? To some, it may even be a conflict of interest on their part to purport to be an unbiased information source all the while having an ongoing relationship as a paid stock promoter with one or more companies. You can

ask me that same question here and now. Have I ever received payment directly from a company for such a relationship? NO I have not. And by payment I am including any form of payment you can think of – dinners, options, warrants, rights, equity stakes, stock, sporting event tickets, etc. You are my client. You are my duty of care. If you read my case studies whether in this edition or in the Canadian edition you will witness first hand I have been blunt and critical of companies. It is also for that same reason that I cannot emphasize and repeat enough that all content is for educational and discussion purposes only and in no way is intended as investment advice or direction.
