CIM: What is tissue culture technology (or micropropagation) and how does it solve cultivator’s problem?

CN: Tissue culture generally refers to the growth of cells in vitro. Micropropagation is a specific type of tissue culture where we can rapidly multiply plant material to produce a large number of identical plants. The technique is widely used in industrial agriculture for plants that don’t have a stabilized seed line. For our customers, it means large numbers of identical, disease-free, plants that quite literally solve many of cultivators’ trickiest problems resulting in reduced operational risks and costs while increasing revenues and delivering a dependable experience for the end user.

CN: To date, cultivators have largely been dependent on “mom plants” to produce “clones” resulting in inconsistent harvests with diluted and uncontrollable traits. Because they are created in lab conditions, our plants have consistent yields and grow times, and are pest and disease free. In addition, the removal of the “mom rooms” frees up cultivators’ valuable, licensed real estate. We want to help growers focus on what they do best - - growing.
