10. Do you have a corporate “face”?

Tying your marketing to an interesting, credible person (usually the CEO) can really help. It humanizes the company and makes it easier to remember. After all, a corporation is only a legal entity, but notice how Elon Musk became Tesla’s corporate “face.”

Weren’t investors backing him, as much as his company? (OK, that’s an extreme example, but the principle remains the same.)

A final thought

We live in a crazy, unpredictable world where anything could happen. Next week, next month, next year — who knows? (Especially with Trump.)

The economy may be fine now, but nothing is forever. Hot stock markets, or crashing markets? Peace or war? Cyber Pearl Harbor? Something else? But we don’t know what we can’t know. Anything is possible.

The ancient Chinese had a saying, “May you live in interesting times.” To which I’d respond, “Be careful what you wish for.”
