North America may be a large market, however, if you're a company participating in the Cannabis, Hemp, and CBD industries and not scaling your business model internationally, you will be extinct in five years. For a company to have operational success it needs to have international economies of scale, distribution and strategic partners. If you're an investor in these sectors and don't have an international investment strategy , then you're being short sighted and have significant portfolio risk from a lack of international diversification. Lets be honest, United States legislation is unpredictable and companies can't build accurate financial models because of it. In addition, Canada only has approximately 38 million people, significant competition, and market entry challenges due to government regulation. Have you ever heard of the phrase, "the world is my oyster?" How about , "the world is mine," from the movie Scarface? It's a reason why they didn't mention only the United States or Canada - the international market is significantly larger. The United States and Canada has a population of approximately 366 million, but the world population is approximately 7.6 billion. If your working for a company that doesn't have an international strategy, you may want to start looking for employment with a company that does. If you're an investor and the companies you're invested in are only located in the United States and Canada, it may be time to liquidate your position before its too late.
