In October 2018, a new class of licensing was introduced under the new Cannabis Regulations entitled Sales for Medical Purposes (Without Possession). We were the first of this class of licensing, a class that was likely influenced by our 1000+ page business model and Health Canada application.

In addition, we are also the first medical cannabis company in the world to be Shariah compliant. This opens up participation by the entire Islamic world, something many thought would be impossible.

Though it takes time, we’ve proven that we can develop a strong relationship with the regulatory bodies and subsequently solve their problems while helping to change laws to fit our platform business model. Using that experience, we’ll be able to do the same in other markets around the world while facing future compliance challenges. Not only can we help develop or advance a country’s cannabis framework, we also have the secure, centralized platform to execute as well.

Q

CannaInvestor Magazine: Do you plan on scaling your platform to the United States and internationally?

A

Cannalogue: Yes, our platform is designed for exactly this purpose. Our technology is globally scalable where we’ll be launching in the US with subsequent plans already in place for the UK and EU. There’s already interest in using our platform in the Caribbean and South America where we’ll also be exploring Australia and Asia. Given our unique position of being the world’s first Shariah compliant medical cannabis company, we have the potential to be first movers in the Middle East as well.
