The second question is far more complicated to answer – or perhaps it is very simple. My own opinion can be found rooted in my love of the horror genre. I do not know how many stories, whether in books, TV, or feature films, are built around the basic premise that an ancient object or writing is found and after much research by the characters involved the ritual for unleashing the dark forces is reenacted. And we all know what happens next otherwise the two-hour movie would be reduced to twenty minutes. Do not tempt fate by poking the bear. It is however prudent and responsible to discuss key changes in the direction of policy and enforcement. Many believe that the rescheduling of marijuana is inevitable – but how and when that may happen is speculation and there just may be some bumps in the road along the way.

Articles throughout the pages of every issue of CANNAINVESTOR Magazine have touched on this. The first article in the first issue was written by Nic Easley and warned investors that the industry was a “minefield” and that was written more than a year ago during the Obama Administration but it could have just as easily been written yesterday or next month. Much like horror movies, there is always a light at the end and the surviving heroes emerge stronger from their perilous ordeal. We wrote in detail about the watershed ruling by the 9th District Court and subsequent progressive bills introduced by Congress and The Senate such as current Bills that intend to relax banking rules for the industry. The recent “money bill” including stipulations reinforcing that District Court ruling by making it clear that funds cannot be used by the Department of Justice. The downside of course is that America is falling behind the world in this industry and companies that meet the metrics to be listed on a national exchange remain on the OTC where at times raising capital has proven challenging. With recent news that the administration is more determined than ever on this subject, it is encouraging to know that there is indeed balance in government as the reintroduction of at least one bill suggests.
