Today Patients at KW are being welcomed with education about the plant and products. Many understand Cannabis for some is the last effort to find healthful benefits, but find they have nothing to lose in the process based on prognosis, find organizations such as KW a consideration when exploring options and products that might be beneficial within their wellness plans.

As I continued my tour of the facility, I was taken by the beautifully designed, intentional space and architecture, promoting an atmosphere driven to embrace those integrating as first time Patients or those returning. The openness and ease of communication quickly removed for me some of the main reasons most would never visit a Cannabis clinic. I felt I had strolled into a Apple store fused with accents of Crate and Barrel, while the aroma of terpenes filled the light air reminding me of the nature of it all. The staff incredibly friendly and insightful as they welcomed and educated me with products showcased.

During my experience at KW, I met a well educated “Cannabis Coach” as I have chosen to call her, otherwise known in the industry as a “Budtender”. The great

interest she shared for medical benefits found in research was incredible, a welcome change for what I would have assumed to be polite small talk. I was eager to hear her share more about what she knew, and what products had done well and why.

The role a Cannabis Coach plays for a Patient is a key part of the interaction and communication a Patient receives as they consider choices and options provided based on their needs and interests.
