Pain. An unpleasant universal human experience leaving any individual distressed, irritated and troubled (4). Invoking a multitude of negative experiences. Pain serves as an evolutionarily adaptive tool to warn of bodily tissue damage and allow for subsequent physical repair (3). Allowing excess pain into our daily lives weighs down the mind, body and impedes on our ability to remain in the present moment.
