Lower Prescription Drug Use?
Dr. David Bradford who is the Busbee Chair in Public Policy in the UGA School of Public and International Affairs and his daughter Ashely Bradford, a master student at UGA in public administration research finds that medical marijuana lowers prescription drug use in states that have legalized its use for medicinal purposes. Their research shows that medical marijuana has the potential to reduce natural prescription drug cost by $1Billion or more a year.
