CANNAHEALTH Seniors: Finding Comfort with Cannabis | Page 6

We can’t ignore the facts. Study after study shows that medical cannabis is improving the health and the lives of some people with cystic fibrosis and other chronic conditions.

After attending a course at the 30th annual North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference last October (Nutritional Impact of New Therapies and Marijuana), it appears that numerous research and examinations of CF patients who have used the drug regularly have shown increased appetites, resulting in needed weight gains, more energy, less depression and better breathing. The drug also can decrease inflammation and nausea.

Since CF is a chronic, non-curable, hereditary disease, these findings are extremely significant for its treatment.
