CBD Changed My Dog’s Life
As pet owners, we all know that our
furry friends don’t live forever. Nonetheless, I think none of us are ever really prepared for the day when we learn that our pet is
approaching the end of its life.
A few years ago, that day came out of the
blue for me and my family; after a routine
check at the vet, our Golden Retriever, Rosie, was diagnosed with cancer. Over the following months, we saw the condition slowly eat away at Rosie’s health while we tried to maximize her quality of life.
At first, Rosie seemed to be doing OK. But after a few months, her condition started to take a real toll on her.
When she hit rock bottom, Rosie was in a lot of pain. She’d hardly move and spent most of her time rolled up in a ball in a corner of the house. She’d really only make the effort to get up and go outside to do her business, and her appetite had almost disappeared completely.
Desperate to find some way of helping Rosie cope, my wife and I learned about CBD for pets. While we already knew a little bit about cannabidiol from the news, we were unaware that people were also using hemp supplements with their pets.
And, as you can imagine, we were pretty skeptical at first. But once we learned that CBD was safe, non-toxic and non-intoxicating, we decided to give it a shot. And I’m so glad we did, because CBD really changed Rosie’s life.
Within just a few weeks of using CBD, we saw huge changes to Rosie’s condition.
CBD helped reduce her pain, which meant she regained her mobility and energy. It also helped re-ignite Rosie’s appetite and, within a few weeks, she was eating well and even going on the occasional walk.
Obviously, CBD is no miracle cure, and we eventually lost Rosie to her cancer. But my wife and I weren’t looking for a panacea. We were just looking for something to help relieve Rosie’s suffering and let her enjoy her remaining time with us. And CBD did just that.
After seeing the effects of CBD with our own eyes, we built Cannabis Supplements For Pets, a website dedicated to researching the health benefits of CBD for pets and reviewing specific CBD pet products.
Through our website, my wife and I hope to help pet owners all across the world improve the health of their pets, whether they are dealing with an acute condition or even a terminal illness like cancer.
