Although we can see with our own eyes how marijuana can instantly help a PD patient, the data are inconclusive. One observational study tested cannabis on PD patients and the results were remarkable. This study was the first to report scientifically that both motor and non-motor symptoms were ameliorated. However, there have been studies showing no benefit or relief from cannabis. Therefore, we need larger double blind, placebo-controlled trials conducted over a longer period of time to make safer recommendations for all PD patients.
