Dr. Uma V.A. Dhanabalan, MD, MPH, FAAFP, MRO is a highly respected physician trained in Family Medicine and Occupational & Environmental Medicine. She is board certified in Occupational Medicine, Medical Review Officer, Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Diplomat Certified in Cannabis Medicine. She received her Medical Degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of Newark, New Jersey and her Master’s Degree in Public Health specializing in Occupational & Environmental Medicine from the Harvard School of Public Health, Harvard University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Dr. Uma is actively involved with multiple organizations traveling the nation advocating and educating about "total patient wellness". Her passion is educating the public about cannabis and the endocannabinoid system. She is a Cannabis Therapeutics Specialist, conducting Medical Marijuana authorizations at Uplifting Health and Wellness in Natick, Massachusetts. Dr. Uma firmly believes that "cannabis is not an entrance drug, it is an exit drug from pharmaceuticals and narcotics.”
She is the founder/CEO of Global Health & Hygiene Solutions, LLC in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Global Health and Hygiene Solutions mission is to promote wellness and prevent illness. She currently resides here with her son.
