MEDICAL CANNABIS 27

According to researchers, these antimicrobial plants produce an essential oil that can kill anything from staph infection to cancer cells. A recent study found that two new cannabinoid-like chromane and chromene derivatives and related compounds known as synthetic analogues of cannabinoids have been isolated from this Chinese medicinal plant.

These new cannabinoid-like chromane and chromene derivatives are known as anthopogocyclolic acid and anthopogochromenic acid. The related compounds known as synthetic analogues of cannabinoids, are known as cannabichromene (CBC) type, cannabicyclol (CBL) type and cannabicitran (CBT) type. And they were isolated with the geranyl orsellinic acid from the Rhododendron anthopogonoides.

Rhododendron is a type of species of woody plants in the heath family, found mainly in Asia. The word "Rhododendron" derives from two Greek words, "rhodon" and "dendron", that mean rose and tree. Despite the definition of their name, most of these plants grow as bushes, which are evergreen or deciduous. Some are wild plants, but many are cultivated.
