Tourists will need to have a valid state and medical cannabis ID or medical recommendation from your current state. Once in Puerto Rico you need to locate a local doctor who is certified to recommend cannabis who will provide a local medical recommendation. Once the local recommendation is provided you can go the the nearest dispensary with those 3 documents. Telemedicine options are available to complete the process online prior to your visit to the island.

BWell Healing Center will continue its dispensary expansion. Later in March they will open their 3rd location in Torrimar, Guaynabo and a 4th location in Ashford Ave, San Juan. Their plans of expansion consist of 10 locations across the metro area of the island in order to become more accessible to patients “and will be accompanied by complementary services such relaxation techniques, stress and anxiety management, thru alliances with healthcare experts such as chiropractors, therapists and phycology clinics to improve the quality of life of our patients” stated Carmen.

She also extended an invitation Lantinas Cannapreneurs and CannaConsumer Magazine to the 1st Patient Encounter on March 18,

2018 hosted by the Puerto Rico Medical Cannabis Association with joined efforts with the Puerto Rico Dept. of Health. The event will be held in Guaynabo which will be an all inclusive experience for patients to get their medical recommendation and medical id in one place the same day and meet the industry and community supporting medicinal cannabis in the island.
