Our front cover
Happy Independence Day!
“Dakota Es El Guapo” was registered to Barbara Currin in 2006. Barbara
has been actively involved with fighting the BSL laws for many years. She
was among some of the first individuals to bring forward AKC’s Canine Good
Citizen pamphlet and encouraged ADBA to start a similar one, the ADBA’s
“Safe Dog Program”.
Barbara feels that training her dogs to be Service Dogs and getting them
out in the public was a great way to show off the breed in a positive light.
Dakota learned at a young age that service was a way of life.
DAKOTA was reclassified as a Working Pit Bulldog in the ADBA as his
bloodlines are from Dagger Kennels. He passed at the age of 12 and will be
deeply missed.
