ISIS has gained much territory through Syria, and it has drawn a lot of foreign men to Syria. American and European countries try to stop the flow of men joining ISIS. ISIS is also recruiting foreign women as jihadist wives. ISIS has become more interesting to foreign people because it has territory ruled with strict Islamic law. ISIS attraction to some is known for its brutality.
ISIS is recruiting other citizens of other countries, but how exactly?
ISIS targets young Muslims, across the West. ISIS has a committed fan base. There are at least 500 U.K. citizens fighting for ISIS. There are execution videos of someone with a London accent executing western hostages. Anjem Choudary has been accused of inspiring many young Muslims to join ISIS in their fight.
ISIS is a huge threat for the U.S. because they are recruiting U.S. citizens and possibly redeploying them back to their home countries.
About 5,000 foreign Nationals have flocked to Syria and Iraq to fight the governments there. Out of those 5,000, officials estimate that about 100 of them are Americans. The fighters that go there turn in their passports and get paid for it. The passports then get reconfigured and then get sold to people moving to any country in the West, which means more terrorism.
