THE BAN

The U.S President has issued three travel bans since his presidency began in 2016. This new ban has affected 8 countries which majority of the countries are Muslim based. The newest travel ban was set be in effect on October 18, 2017. This ban restricted refugees and even people with visas from entering the U.S.

It also enforced to protect the people of the nation from harm and risk factors. Terrorism attacks and hate crimes have happened a lot more over the past years. In the past 40 years, there has been 9 terrorist attacks from these 8 countries that have either happened or were planned to happen. Could these bans be the cause of terrorism attacks on U.S land?

We, as a country used to be welcoming to all, regardless of their religion and race. One of the first major Executive Orders issued by President Donald Trump was a sweeping ban on immigration from 8 majority Muslim countries.

Some say that these travel bans violates the freedom of religion and others are happy about the bans. By excluding people from the country, does that make America less welcoming than from a while ago when anyone was allowed to be in the country?
