journalists to ensure they behave.
The spate of abductions that characterized the Gen-Z uprising were targeted attempt to silence the social media narrative that had become a real thorn on the side of the government. The power of social-media was not quite anticipated by the corrupt leaders.
Kenya is at the forefront of politicizing the civil service and we have seen a disturbing trend where experienced civil servants have been replaced by political cronies to ensure that the government agencies serve the interests of the executive not the public.
The way leaders get into power is through elections and it is an important process that is supposed to ensure that the people get a fair representation in government to guarantee that their interests are properly addressed by the system.
In Kenya it is quite evident that politicians do not get into politics to serve the public but to serve themselves. Politics is the one profession in Kenya where criminals and thugs are welcome and since the position is well paying the competition is intense.
In Kenya, leaders, which is just another name for politicians or thugs depending on how charitable one wishes to be, spend an inordinate amount of time suppressing the voting process to ensure the outcome of the selection disguised as an election.
In Kenya, we know that during election years certain areas of Kenya find it almost impossible to acquire the crucial national identity card that enables one to vote. It is also in the same areas that the administration purges the voting rolls to skew the results.
In Kenya with its porous borders and ethnic groups that spread into neighboring countries it is a leader’ s paradise where one

The democratic ideal assumes engaged and informed voters, in practice however, this is never the truth as most voters are ignorant of key policy issues and they vote purely on emotion and identity without any rational considerations.

can import voters from another country and include them in the voter roll and even allow them to vote without a national identity card.
The rigging of elections is an intricate project in Kenya which starts way before the elections are anywhere due. Ominous statements that particular groups in Kenya will no longer require vetting to ascertain their true origins is a clear sign of rigging intent.
Another popular Kenya tactic is to ensure that the commissioners on the electoral body that runs the elections are handpicked to assist in the usually complex system of electronic rigging since it is important that the returning officers appear impartial.
This is the reason why opposition politicians always cry foul when a person is appointed to head the electoral body since they know his main qualification is that he is answerable to the sitting administration and is appointed to rig the process.
The leader of the electoral process is supposed to be a person of incorruptible integrity and in most cases in Kenya it is a lawyer that has been paid handsomely to do what any person with a modicum of moral fiber wouldn’ t. The commissioner’ s vetting is always a sham. clearly demonstrated it but every five years all Kenyans retreat to their ethnic cocoons due to political manipulation that makes elections in Kenya a tribal contest.
Kenya has perfected the art of demonizing the opposition as the enemies of the people and reframing them as people opposed to progress. It is Kenya that popularized the notion that bad choices at elections means relegating one’ s community to developmental oblivion.
Kenyan election period is a perilous time as politicians encourage and fund political violence against opponents. Politicians crisscross their constituencies hiring goons and spreading fear so that voting turnout is curtailed and suppressed.
The latest democracy cancelling tactic in Kenya is questioning the legitimacy of opponents and threatening to jail them for anti-government sentiments yet democracy is rooted in the interplay of opposing views cancelled in Kenya by the broad-based government.
Another sinister development is the indication by the current administration that they are not only unhappy by the‘ Wantam’ rhetoric but have indicated that they will object to a peaceful transfer of power in the event that they are not victorious.
It is interesting to note that in Kenya, when the commissioners’ term of office has expired, those pliable commissioners are always appointed into cushy government positions as a show of appreciation for a job well done.
For a democracy to flourish the people must have a sense of common destiny and understand that compromise is a necessary strategy in coexisting but leaders are adept at sowing a culture of division and distrust which is necessary for electing criminals.
In Kenya we know that Kenyans are not tribalists and the Gen-Z uprising has
Cancelling democracy has always been done in a subtle and understated fashion, pretending to be improving the system but the arrogance of the current administration has blown the lid off the plot and it is now clearly a state capture by a criminal constituency.
