JULY 2021
This is the final newsletter of 2021 , a year that has given the Canadian Physique Alliance many challenges . Thanks to the resolve of competitors , officials , and promoters we are finishing the year healthy and strong . Although many competitions have had been pushed to the end of the year , in fact up to almost Christmas , we adjusted and supported the events to ensure they would proceed .
In the newsletter you will see many pictures of our athletes not wearing masks on stage and expressing joy and satisfaction in their smiles . The 2022 season looks promising with most competitions taking place in their pre pandemic time slots . In 2020 and 2021 some promoters changed their show format to accommodate government restrictions that were in place due to COVID-19 and have learned that portions of the new show format are more competitor-friendly and may be adopted by promoters in 2022 .
To ensure promoters can plan the marketing , scheduling , purchase of awards , and venue capacity in a timely manner for a consistent and successful event , competitors who register early will enjoy a no price increase in entry fees , however , those who wish to register at the last minute will be allowed to do so but at a premium .
The CPA is looking to introduce a better qualification system that is easily understood by competitors to help facilitate their goals when setting time limits for qualification to pro qualifiers and international event . We will be rolling out a plan for the 2022 season that will be comparable to NPC USA . Once approved members receive the information . The Canadian Physique Alliance with the cooperation of its promoters across Canada have created a show format system that is consistent across the country . We believe that the formula we have in place with the integrated Muscleware system is second to none . We are now being looked at as leaders in the industry with systems in place that cater to athletes , fans , and sponsors .
