AMATEUR TO PRO ... OVERNIGHT !
YES , IT DOES HAPPEN ! by John Douglas
Opportunities are always there to make the transition from amateur to pro by winning a qualifying contest then competing in the Pro Qualifier of your choice . Occasionally though , you may not have to wait .
As with all Pro Qualifiers that take place as part of a Pro Show , like the recent Toronto Pro SuperShow in December , new IFBB Pros have the opportunity to step on stage as a Pro that weekend .
Anthony did just that . After a hard fought battle to win his Pro card , papers were signed , registration was done and Anthony did his Pro debut the very next day .
With his incredible conditioning , technically excellent posing and an overall stage presence second to none that day , Anthony prevailed and won the Toronto Pro Classic Physique Division .
If that weren ’ t all , Anthony also won his way to the Olympia where he will compete alongside seasoned Olympians like Chris Bumstead and Terrence Ruffin to name but two .
