This exciting movement has Canada again leading the way thanks to the support and foresight of our NPC and IFBB Pro League Vice-President Tyler Manion who recommended a natural Pro show with our existing Natural Pro Qualifier in Toronto and a second Natural Pro Qualifier in Vancouver along with Natural Pro Shows .

We finished the 2024 year with an unbelievable outcome in terms of our membership numbers and the strength of our open and natural events across Canada . The 2023 and 2024 seasons were quite revealing about who our members are and which competitions they compete in . We are likely one of the few countries where we have a split of fifty percent of our competitors competing in the open events and fifty percent competing in natural events . The natural movement has been gaining strength in Canada for years and our influence worldwide has come to fruition this year . The Ben Weider Natural Pro / Am is a prime example of the Canadian influence . This competition originated in Montreal , Quebec at the famous theatre where our founder Ben Weider promoted his first National event , this event is now being held in Alexandria , Virginia and this year had over 400 competitors worldwide-- this is The
More great news from the NPC is the addition of a new category – the Women ’ s Fit Model division - which will give more opportunities to female athletes displaying physiques that are balanced , fit and beautiful and leaning towards that healthy model look . We are also looking forward to the 40 + Pro Masters category replacing the 35 + Masters at our Pro Shows . This will now qualify our Open Pro Masters 40 + winners to compete at the Masters Olympia this year and our new Natural Masters 40 + competitors to compete at the new Natural Masters 40 + category added at the Ben Weider Naturals in 2025 .
For all our Pro Qualifier amateur divisions in both natural and open , the 40 + categories will now be receiving the Pro Cards , staying in line with our 40 + Pro divisions for both men and women . For this year only those competitors who qualified in 2024 in the 35 + divisions are grandfathered to compete in the 40 + if they are 40 years and over for a chance of that illusive IFBB Pro Card .
