Then finally this year , 2024 , I decided to keep the promise I made to myself upon the loss in 2018 and work to win the Vancouver Pro Qualifier .
As I needed to qualify , the first show of the 2024 season was the TNT Muscle Showdown , in Alberta . Great show in every way , and it was only 2 weeks away from the Van Pro Qualifier . I went on to win the overall there , qualifying for the Vancouver Pro Qualifier .
I didn ’ t however feel ready yet , I wanted to have more confidence , so I went to the Vancouver Open Naturals the very next week , where I won the overall again .
The Vancouver Pro / Am was three weeks in a row that I was competing . I was at my very best , I knew I had what it took , but I also knew the level and quality of competitors was very , very high . It was definitely a battle , which I came out winning and getting my PRO CARD , achieving the promise I had made to myself 6 years before ! This time around , my best friends , the family I had chosen for myself since moving to Canada , were there , my Mom came from Brazil to watch , and it was just the perfect day . I got my feet wet in the IFBB Pro League that weekend competing with the pros in open bodybuilding the following day . This experience had me placing in the top ten but also prepared me for the future . for the Olympia , but I decided to keep pushing and pursuing my dream of traveling while living the sport I love , so I did the Texas Pro two weeks after Chicago . I was very , very tired , but pushed through and placed 3rd in a stacked lineup with 20 + athletes .
The season was great - yet , exhausting . For sure had I stopped after Chicago , I would have presented my best at the Olympia - but I was just very , very tired . Yet , it was enough to place 11th on the biggest stage in the world , after having traveled and lived a great year through the sport that I love .
I know now , more than ever , that I belong to the Olympia stage , and I have already started my project to be the best Open PRO I can be , representing Canada around the world !
But the season didn ' t stop there - Chris Aceto , my coach , told me to do the Chicago PRO , the very week after the Vancouver Pro , and my friends agreed it was a great opportunity . So , there I went , for the 4th weekend competing in a row , and won my 212 PRO debut !
I could ' ve shut down , rested , and waited
