PREPARE WITH THE BODY NOT AGAINST IT

Picture this :
You ' re deep into your contest preparation as you are expecting the best look of your life to date .
Progress is stalling , you ’ re on pretty low calories and doing so much cardio that it is cutting into your sleep time . Pretty soon you may start increasing the fat burners and doubling your cardio if you don ’ t see the necessary changes .
A week goes by and not many changes happen .
So , you decide to decrease the food further .
Now , you ' re so hungry and burnt out , that the small amount of time you have allotted to sleep is of very poor quality . Training is taking a hit so you ' re a little bit depressed that your strength is going down . Because of this , you start doing a few extra sets because you are not a quitter .
You feel a little bit more tired , but you know that you ' re working hard and in theory burning more calories . So , you wait another week and you look at the scale along with your progress pictures … things didn ' t really change once again …
What could be happening ? Does this not defy the laws of thermodynamics ? Oftentimes we try to fight the body and go against what it ' s telling us . The key is to work along with the body and to listen
