Cindy: I’m going to say my husband and children are number one. Having them see
that I’ve never given up, nor will I, is terribly important to me and that applies to all
facets of life.
Number two is Tami Beckers. She’s been such a constant in my life. She’s been
tough on me as a judge and so supportive of me as a friend. Leading up to the
North Americans, I visualized her yelling from the stage “Tami! We did it!” I wanted
so badly to make her proud and that all her years driving my butt to Pittsburgh
were worth it. That’s the closest I’ve ever been to saying I was vying for a pro card.
Number three is My coach Evan Lagace. He’s my centre, my compass of sorts. He’s
guided me both physically with preparing me for shows as well as emotionally
through trials and struggles. We are an invincible team!
Juan: What plans do you have for the future and what kind of impact do you want
to leave in the CPA/IFBB?
Cindy: I hope to compete as a pro for as many years as possible and I would also
love to expand on assisting competitors through the ups and downs of competing.
My nickname has always been “mama” and I’m proud to be someone that people
feel comfortable look to for guidance. I also look forward to continuing my role with
Ron Hache as social media coordinator for his CPA and IFBB events.
Juan : Thank you so much for the fantastic interview Cindy. I really appreciate your
time and the wisdom you gave us. Many of us in the CPA look up to you
dramatically and we cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you!
