CANADIAN PHYSIQUE ALLIANCE November December 2023 | Page 5

The bikini division , with 49 bikini competitors from around the world battled for that gold medal but in the end our own Jennifer Dorie came in with the best bikini look ever setting the stage for future bikini look . Let ’ s not forget Lauralie Chapados , our 4th place winner in Bikini showing our Canadian dominance in that category .
The biggest surprise was our fitness competitor Taylor Learmont placing 2nd at her first Olympia with a routine that was clearly magical . Another positive surprise was the comeback of Jodi Boam who had the second-best physique in round one and a strong routine but missed the top 5 by only 5 points . The biggest disappointment was Missy Truscott who was poised to win this division with an unbelievable physique round and came in like a cannonball with a routine destined to be one of her best but unfortunately injured herself just 30 seconds into it , my heart goes out to her for a speedy recovery , fitness was destined to be a Canadian sweep but the stars were just not aligned right for 2023 .
