April 15 , 2023 a dream of mine came true , my children were able to watch me compete in a bodybuilding show , the Jim Morris Legacy Cup . As a mom , I constantly strive to be the best role model I can be , after all your kids watch everything you do and say . For me , my fitness / bodybuilding lifestyle is more than just about health , it pushes me to be disciplined , consistent , patient , and work hard , even when motivation fades .
It is my children who see first hand what this sport requires of me . They see the endless hours of cardio , weight training , posing practice , meal prepping , eating out of glass containers , and sacrifices I make to be the best athlete I can be . At the Jim Morris Legacy show , they saw why I do what I do , the glamorous moment of showcasing my hard work to a panel of judges . Walking on stage and seeing their little faces in the audience was an indescribable feeling .
Body building has enhanced my life beyond just the physical . It is these moments that not only make me so proud as a mom and an athlete , but push me to be even better .
