We both first got into working out and being introduced to the gym in the early 2010s . We ’ ve both enjoyed the fitness lifestyle and have been fairly consistent and regular at the gym ever since .

Seeing our bodies physically progress over the years as we set and accomplished our personal fitness goals always kept us motivated and disciplined .

As the progress continued , we both were extremely curious and eag er to see where we would stand at the competitive level on the bodybuilding stage .

We both competed solo in our first ever regionals in 2017 ( Karandeep , 2nd place ) and 2019 ( Jaslyn , 1st place ) and then decided to compete in the President ’ s Cup of 2022 , where we both placed 1st in our class .

This led us to qualify and compete together in the Canadian National Qualifier in October of 2022 .

Contest prep has always been a challenge as there are other aspects of life that have to be balanced as well , such as a full-time job and family . However , getting ready together for a competition had helped us overcome many obstacles because we always supported each other and lean on one another when life got tough .

We built a very structured routine and schedule that kept us organized throughout contest prep , along with consistently motivating and pushing each other every day . There were many ups and downs however we knew that our end goal was to step on the same stage together for the first time and take first place .

We were each other ’ s moral support and personal counselors as we had none along the way .

Juggling a full-time job outside of bodybuilding and making sure to excel and perform in both fields made the journey extremely difficult and at times wanting to quit contest preparation .

Both of us worked 60 + hours a week and having to stay on a strict meal plan , functioning on low carbs , going to the gym twice a day and getting adequate sleep was very tough both mentally and physically . However , we both had the intention , the love for the sport , the desire and drive to achieve our end goal and felt unstoppable .

As we continue in our journey to progress in the fitness industry and doing what we love , we encourage anyone chasing their dreams to continue to put in the work every day and never quit . Your hard work will pay off ! “
