at the venue until midnight when the show was scheduled to end . The show was not finished but after the Promoter pleaded with them for extra time , they made an important phone call to our Premier allowing us to finish the event past midnight . Two ( 2 ) shows ( in a one show format ) were completed in 4 ½ hours . Mission was accomplished and we pulled off the impossible .
The true heroes throughout this unprecedented ordeal and our # 1 priority were the athletes and how they were feeling about the re-scheduling of the show on such short notice . With the exception of 3 athletes who had to turn around and pull out due to reasons out of their control , out of 91 athletes , not one person complained and everyone seemed so happy just to be apart of it . In these COVID unprecedented times , promoters may not be able to hold their shows in the “ normal ” settings we are all used to . But that is called “ adapting to change ”. In this case , everybody adapted and followed the rules to protect the safety and security of all the people involved .
