Bella : I always wanted breast implants because I loved the look of a lean but curvy body . Once I got into bodybuilding , I realized to obtain that , I needed to buy that . I was very confident before I got them but even more so after . It felt like the completion of my perfect body . It felt incredible !
Juan : What were some of the potential side effects you began to notice , and how deep into having your breast implants did these symptoms begin to appear ? Bella : Over the course of the next few months , I volunteered at and sponsored all of the summer shows . I was fatigued but didn ' t think much of it . I had lymph nodes that swelled in my neck and one armpit , and started developing migraines so badly I couldn ' t function . I also had my tongue start swelling up almost daily and it got to the point where it would press into my teeth . In total I had over 40 symptoms ranging from headaches to vertigo to hospitalization . Doctors tested me for many things . They suspected a stroke as the left side of my face was going numb and drooping slightly , ran bloodwork , etc . all came back normal other than a few oddities .
I had been incredibly healthy up until this point and I spent most of the summer loving my body the most I had ever loved it , but sadly I was fighting it too .

I was admitted to the hospital after 9 hospital visits in 11 days . In that time , the doctors could see all my symptoms but had no answers . They tried their best to stave off the constant vomiting and treat the illness symptomatically . I lost over 20 pounds , and was sent home briefly on day 6 only to be brought back immediately from passing out .
I called 911 myself that 6th day , I couldn ' t breathe , my heart felt like I had run a marathon and I was so weak . I pulled myself up the stairs and threw myself outside onto the driveway and cried . I ended up coming to peace with the fact I would die . I asked the operator to tell my then fiancé that I loved him if I died . Then my world went black .
When the ambulance came back , they thought I had had a pulmonary embolism but instead found pneumonia , mild pericarditis ( an infection in the lining of your heart ) and that I was having mild anaphylaxis . I was admitted for 5 days where they stabilized me and further investigated .
I had people visit me and walk into my room and turn around because they no longer recognized me . I wrote a note on my board telling me to not give up and to remind me what I was fighting for but
