My name is Missy Truscott. I am 30 years old. I was born and raised
in Victoria Harbour, Ontario Canada. I started my fitness journey
back in 2007. I was 17 years old at the time. My whole life I’ve
always been active. It was introduced to me at an early age with
gymnastics and cheerleading.
When I graduated college I knew I wanted to try something different.
I can remember watching Youtube videos of bodybuilding contests
in the library at school and friends would ask me if I would ever do
it. I would respond with “yeah - maybe one day” and laugh it off, I
was a fan! I didn’t know anything about Bodybuilding and Fitness.
One day I got the courage to start prepping for a show. I spent
2 years training and preparing for what I thought was just a
Bodybuilding show in Mississauga the Mindi O’Brien Mississauga
Championships in 2012. It actually turned out to be one of the best
decisions of my life to join the world of Bodybuilding and Fitness.
The Canadian Physique Alliance is where it all started for me. I
ended up winning the Figure and Fitness divisions and the overall
in both divisions too at Mindi O’Brien’s show! I went on to compete
at the Toronto Pro Supershow Provincials a few months later and
won the fitness overall which would lead me to the west coast for
the opportunity to win an IFBB Professional Card. I flew to the west
coast with my mom and competed for the first time out of Province
- I won my IFBB Pro card that August 2012.

I’ve since moved to Seattle, Washington, USA where I live with my
husband Matt, and our three wiener dogs! It’s been an amazing
journey the last fews years! 2019 Fitness Olympia I placed 2nd
which was a huge accomplishment for me. I then went onto the
Arnold Classic Fitness International this year and won! Gaining the
title of Ms. Fitness International this has been a dream of mine
since I was a young woman in college - I DID IT! I’m super thankful
for the opportunity the CPA has given athletes to reach their goals
